Welcome to St. Francis CARE, a community-focused animal rescue and education organization located in Murphysboro, IL.

We are dedicated to providing shelter and care for lost, unwanted, and abandoned animals before finding them loving homes. We also offer educational resources about responsible pet ownership.

St. Francis CARE is proud to be home to Southern Illinois’ first low-income spay/neuter clinic, S.P.O.T., helping to reduce pet overpopulation and promote animal welfare.
