James L. "Bo" Bryant Animal Shelter and West Feliciana Animal Humane Society (WFAHS) is an animal shelter located in Bains, LA, dedicated to providing a safe haven for animals in need.

Founded in August 2012 thanks to the generosity of James “Bo” Bryant, we’ve transformed from operating with limited holding kennels to running a full-time animal shelter. We offer services focused on animal care and finding loving adoptive homes.

We are proud to have increased our save rate from less than 10% to over 95% of the parish's stray population per year! WFAHS participates in events like Empty the Shelters, offering reduced adoption fees.
